How to make a destroyed jeans

You still see them everywhere, the destroyed jeans, in shops, in magazines, on the street. And I love them. They're very rock-chick but they can still look very girly. Or if you wear a girly T-shirt but you don't want to look too girly, you can wear a destroyed jeans! Or if you have longs legs and you want them to look shorter (In one of my last posts What kind of jeans is the best for your kind of figure? ) But they can really be expensive, and they don't really last that long because when you put them on, your feet will stick in it or something and holes will become bigger and bigger and then you can throw away your jeans.. And you don't want that right? So why pay so much for a destroyed jeans if you can make one on your own?!
Here are 5 steps to make your own destroyed jeans:

1. So you can buy a denim jeans (one that doesn't cost too much) or you can use one of your own old denim jeans.

2. You don't want to have just 'holes' in your jeans right? That really looks fake, so use sandpaper, this will look much better than when you use a scissors.

3. While you use the sandpaper you will see white dreads. When you see these you can just open up it. And again: Don't use a scissors. Then you'll get big holes (read step 2).

4. Choose where you want to have your holes. If you think you're having enough then stop! You don't want too much holes, because then your jeans will be like one hole in total, maybe that will look weird. I chose to have like 5 holes in total. 3 On the left side and 2 on the right side :)

5. Don't wash your destroyed jeans many times, because then your holes will look a little bit weird. I had this problem with an other destroyed jeans, I wore that jeans like too much so I also washed it too much, and then the holes became really really big. So I couldn't wear that jeans anymore :(

So have fun with making your own destroyed jeans, in the beginning you'll probably think 'Okay, what the ... am I doing?' You'll think it looks ugly at the beginning but when you put your destroyed jeans on and you made more holes your jeans will look really good, like you bought it in the store!
Have fun =)
Love, Sophie

P.S Here in the photo you can see my destroyed jeans, it don't really look good in the picture. But it was my first jeans I destroyed, so it's not that good but I like it.. and it was much fun to make it :)
